This session will provide a review of current issues in Private Client Practice. The session will focus on good practice and avoiding pitfalls. The content will depend to some extent on developments in the next few months but is likely to include:
- The new rules on excepted estates and changes to probate practice
- The latest on the Trust Register and non-taxable trusts
- Recent decisions on errors when making wills and the lessons to be learned
- Recent decisions on errors in relations to trusts and the lessons that can be learned
After attending the session delegates will be:
- aware of recent developments in the private client area
- able to amend office practices appropriately.
About the speaker
We are delighted to have Professor Lesley King sharing her invaluable expertise.
As an author and contributor of countless books, a former member of the STEP committee, the Law Society’s Wills & Equity Committee and an honorary member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists, Lesley's experience within the Private Client sector makes her lectures informative, complete, and of interest to all those involved in Private Client matters.
