With awareness of Right of Light (ROL) growing and claimants becoming savvier, it feels like a good time to give an overview on the topic. This is something that is likely to come up as an issue for developers, funders, and purchasers. It also usually requires either some form of insurance or any ROL issues to be resolved prior to work commencing.

This video will give you an understanding of what ROL is and how insurance can be used to cap financial exposure for developers and financiers, giving them certainty to take on/fund and continue projects.

The aim is to raise awareness of what ROL is and how insurance can help.

It is also intended to educate more people about the insurance side of ROL in terms of what key information we like to see, why it matters and, as a result, how this can have a better impact insurance terms offered.
