Jon Whettingsteel

Jon is the head of Dutton Gregory’s talented and nationally recognised, award-winning family law team described in Legal 500 as ‘a young dynamic team’, with Jon being ‘dynamic and a natural born team leader’.

With over 15 years of experience in family law. Jon has won multiple awards, both regionally and nationally in recognition of his high-level of knowledge, expertise and skill.

As a legal commentator Jon has had articles published in national media including The Law Society Gazette, Resolution’s The Review, and has appeared on multiple radio stations, including the BBC as a family law expert.

Jon’s work covers all aspects of family law, and he has previously presented webinars for other legal professionals on ‘an introduction to family law’ and ‘costs in financial remedy proceedings’, as well as having written a book on internal and external child relocation.

Jon works with a number of Grandparent groups, supporting grandparents in seeking contact.

In addition to presenting to other legal professionals Jon presents to other industries, professionals and at events on a number of topics, including cohabitation agreements, and pre and post-nuptial agreements as part of future planning and client advising.

Jon has appeared on local media as an ‘ask the expert’ on family lawyer, answering questions on a variety of topics around family law.
