For Legal provides you with an interactive webinar that will cover the New National Planning Policy Framework, Planning Practice Guidance & the Planning and Infrastructure Bill. All you need to know about the changes from leading planning law speaker James Kon.

The new government has pushed planning to the top of its agenda – in the last few months we have seen a new NPPF, significant changes to the PPG, the Planning and Infrastructure Bill and changes to the NSIP process in order to achieve the policy aim of 1.5 million new homes and 150 major development consents. New concepts, such as “grey belt” have been introduced, and local planning authorities and planning inspectors have started to grapple with these.

At the same time, the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court have continued to rule on major planning issues, including nutrient neutrality, publication of planning documents, interpretation of permissions etc.

This webinar will go through these issues to provide an update of where the planning system is, and the direction it is going.

The webinar will include:-

  1. How the new NPPF and PPG has changed the approach to planning, in particular the green belt development.
  2. The approach that PINS and local authorities are taking to the changes.
  3. Major talking points from the Planning and Infrastructure Bill.
  4. New developments handed down by the Courts.

This masterclass is perfect for practitioners including solicitors and paralegals, as well as surveyors, particularly those working in:

  • Planning and development

  • Land and property valuation

  • Infrastructure and regeneration

  • Strategic land use and site assessments

Delegates should have a working understanding of Planning matters, however, the content can be picked up throughout anyones professional career regardless of experience.
