On 11th November 2025 the new Part Suitability of the Immigration Rules came into force. Part Suitability replaces Part 9 of the Immigration Rules and now serves as the central reference point for all suitability-related refusal and cancellation grounds. Part Suitability applies to most routes under the Immigration Rules. Part Suitability also now applies to the Family and Private Life rules which have, until now, had their own suitability requirements.
The infamous Paragraph 39E, exception for overstayers, has now also been moved into a new dedicated section of Part Suitability.
In this essential webinar, Adam will go through the new Part Suitability looking at the main provisions and how they will apply. Adam will also highlight the relevant Home Office Guidance and consider how the new rules interact with the Family and Private Life rules.
