For Legal 's in -person conference with Mark Shelton will give an update on recent developments in Commercial Property, focusing on latest caselaw. This session will equip busy practitioners with an overview of key developments in this fast-moving area. There will be plenty of time for questions, interaction and discussion in which Mark will answer your questions.

Commercial Property continues to undergo major changes.

This session will cover three topics:

· For developers, the jurisdiction under s.84, Law of Property Act 1925 to modify or discharge restrictive covenants is often key to unlocking projects. Each year brings new caselaw, and this session will examine the approach the courts are currently taking on the essential issues.

· A Case Law round-up will consider the landmark cases of recent months.

· High Street Rental Auctions are coming. When this radical idea was first proposed in what was the Levelling-up and Regeneration Bill, many thought: “I’ll believe it when I see it”. The Bill is now an Act, and it’s time to believe it. We will take a critical look at the detail of the scheme, and anticipate the potential wider implications.

This conference is perfect for practitioners including solicitors and paralegals who are seeking to update their knowledge of Commercial Property, or who are considering returning to this area of law following a career break.

Delegates should have a background in Commercial Property generally.
