Ask a Question

Our Legacy Academy series has been designed to equip private client advisers like you with the insight, confidence and resources to be able to have values-led discussions with clients, helping to shape their charitable legacy.

  • In the first of these, we explore how to raise the topic of charitable legacies with clients.
  • The next explores the different ways a charitable legacy can be structured and the tax implications that may apply
  • We then look at how legacy giving can be integrated into succession planning more widely.
  • This series concludes with a fascinating interview with Alison, a legacy pledger, who talks through her motivations and rationale, sharing how important the experience has been in guiding her ongoing philanthropic journey.

Whether your clients are new to giving or the most committed philanthropists, we hope the Legacy Academy will help you support them in making informed and meaningful choices, strengthening client relationships and unlocking vital funding for UK charities.

Lucinda Frostick

Director • Remember A Charity

Lucinda Frostick is director of Remember A Charity, a 200-strong consortium of UK charities whose mission is to grow and normalise giving to charity from your Will. Working closely with government and legal partners, the consortium runs a Campaign Supporter scheme, providing resources and a free web listing service for solicitors and Will-writers that commit to make relevant clients aware of the option of including a charitable gift in their Will. Remember A Charity Week runs in September each year, but the campaign works all year round to promote charitable Will-writing to the giving public. www.rememberacharity.org.uk
