This presentation will address the common pitfalls which arise in billing arrangements between solicitors and their clients. Issues such as statute bills and cost estimates will be addressed in detail as will the process which gives rise to an assessment of solicitor costs pursuant to the Solicitors Act 1974.

A brief mention of the concept of “informed consent” will also be made.
