Ask a Question

A 4 hour recording of our half-day masterclass, packed full of insights and updates from leading speaker Katharine Bundell of 4PB.

This recording provides family practitioners with a comprehensive review of current issues in Family Law, including:-

Finances:

Katharine will look at all of the main practice areas: capital, debts, pensions, periodical payments and any new case law including the recent decision of Standish.

Katharine will also consider practice points for these areas and consider them in particular for modest asset cases, which can be the hardest.

Responding to requests we will also touch on the basics of TLATA, consider practice points for intervenor claims and dealing with third party assets.

Private Law Children:

In the second half Katharine will consider private law children. Again, she will look at the recent cases which are making a splash, consider the current trends and practice points for running an effective case and assisting clients.

There will be a deep dive into Older Teens, and how we deal with them as subject children in private law cases: options for outside court support, longer term orders, when there should be a Guardian appointed and even the teen giving evidence in a fact finding or similar. Inevitably we will consider these topics through the lens of domestic abuse and alienating behaviours.

She will also look at s7, s37 and s 16A reports, when to use which and how to challenge them.

Who This Is For:

This is a course for those who are specialist family practitioners.

Level of Expertise:

It will be accessible to all levels of qualification but the practitioner who will benefit the most should have a practice which is predominantly or wholly family law based.

CPD Hours:

Maximise learning whilst spending minimal time away from your desk. This half-day conference provides you with 4 hours of learning.

Attendees will receive a certificate of completion after the event closure.
