Criminal Legal Aid – The December 2025 Fee Increases

Delivered by leading criminal speaker Colin Beaumont, this one-hour webinar will consider the changes that have been made to criminal legal aid as a result of the following Statutory Instruments.

• SI 2024 No. 1163 – changes with effect from the 6th December 2024
• Statutory Instrument 2025 No. 1251 – changes with effect from the 22nd December 2025 and the 31st December 2025.

Legal aid fees have also been increased in the following areas:

• Attendance upon clients at the police station stage
• The Youth Court
• The Adult Magistrates’ Court – including the fees claimable by a Court Duty Solicitor
• Litigator fees for proceedings in the Court of Appeal
• Advice and assistance on an appeal against conviction or sentence or application to the Criminal Cases Review Commission
