Ask a Question

This webinar provides an overview of provisions in the Charities Act 2022 that came into force on 7 March. We will look at:

  • New rules for updating charity governing documents
  • Changes that should save gifts and legacies when charities merge or incorporate
  • Changes which affect selling, leasing or disposing of charity lan
  • New regulatory powers for the Charity Commission:
  • to confirm the appointment of trustees in cases of doubt
  • to authorise trustees to be paid or retain payment for work completed for the charity where it would be inequitable not to do so

This webinar is for anyone who needs to get or stay up to speed on the ‘hot off the press’ changes in charity law: lawyers, accountants, governance and other professional who advise charities. It is also relevant to those who draft wills including charitable bequests and those who may be charity trustees.
